The Men's League Organizational Meeting was last night and wanted to post a few of the highlights from the meeting.
1)We still have room for more teams to sign up. I also have some teams that do not have four players at this point, so we still need to fill up those spots. If you haven't played league before and are interested in playing, we can still get you on a team. COME JOIN THE FUN!!
2)We have revised our procedure for substitutes this season.
1st-The first option you should try is to play your match ahead of time. The Pro Shop staff works very hard to get out the next week's pairings as soon as possible the Friday following league play. This should give you enough time to play your opponent ahead of time.
2nd-If the first option does not work for you, then you can find someone else who plays league but IS NOT on your team or your opponents team to sub for you.
3rd-NEW-If you are not at that point able to find a sub, you can have the Pro Shop staff blind draw you an opponent. We will put all the players from your league in a hat (if a sub is needed for an A player, then it will be the other A players in the league that go in the hat) and blind draw you an opponent. You will still need to play with someone who will sign your card for you.
3)What the above boils down to is this: No longer will teams receive 7 or 10 points for their opponents not lining up a sub. From now on, all matches will be played.
These matters were discussed at last night's meeting and approved unanimously.
Remember to sign up if you haven't yet.
Have a good day!!
